Bid result spreadsheet (Actual bid documents are on file in the Finance Department) Summary Statement The Police Department identified the need for eight new patrol vehicles for FY 2004. These vehicles are budgeted in the Vehicle and Equipment Replacement Fund. Formal bid packages were sent to ten (10) vendors with six (6) - responding. Based on a review of the bids by the Police Department, S &C Ford of San Francisco is the lowest responsible bidder in the amount of $209,750.00- (average of $26,219). Attached to this report is a summary of the bids received by the City with the original bid amount and the revised bid amount that was required to be able to compare bids equally.. Due to the volume of paper as a result of the bids, the actual bids will be on file in the Finance Department. Recommended City Council Action /Suggested Motion Recommend the Council approve and authorize the City Manager to purchase the eight (8) police patrol vehicles in.the amount of $209,750.00 from S &C Ford. S &C' FORD IN THE AMOUNT OF $209,750 WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma Police Department identified a requirement for eight new vehicles to replace vehicles in their existing fleet that are worn out; and, WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma requested bids from known suppliers of police vehicles; and, WHEREAS, the City received six (6) bids as a result of that formal bid process; and, WHEREAS, it was determined that the lowest responsible bidder was S &C Ford in the amount of $209,750. • NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby authorizes the purchase of eight 2004' Ford patrol vehicles from S &C Ford in the amount of $209,750.
