EXECUTIVE' SUMMARY Compensation for part-time positions that have full -time equivalent classifications should have the same hourly rates and pay ranges. Currently some part -time positions are paid less than the - full -time equivalent even though the work performed is the same. FINANCIAL IMPACTS Increase in salary cost as a result of a new hourly pay ranges and when a Department Director adjusts an employees pay rate. Financial impact vary by City department. 5. CONCLUSION The City needs to amend the pay ranges of certain part-time: positions to ensure compensation in the City is fair, equitable, and competitive. 6. RESOLUTION AMENDING THE COMPENSATION FORTART-TIME POSITIONS THAT HAVE FULL=TI(M.E' EQUIVALENT , CLASSIFICATIONS AND AMENDING THE', COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN OTHER PART-TEVIE POSITIONS WHEREAS, the establishment of the pay ranges for the yart-time positions listed below, which have "full -time, equivalent positions, should, be amendedAb, be consistent with the full-time equivalent pay,, rate and, should ,,be adjusted automatically thereafter whenever the corresponding full-time positions are adjusted. WHEREAS, the amendment of the pay ranges for the- pa rt -time positions lis ted below, which do not have full -time equivalent positions is appropriate. NOW, THEREFORE;'.BE IT RESOLVED: 1.
