If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Thanks. cc: City Councilmembers • v POST OFFICE BOX 61 PETALUMA, CA 94953 -0061 January 2, 2003 Bryant Moynihan Councilmemher • Mayor David Glass City of Petaluma I Dear Mayo ass: Would you please consider the following in submitting your recommendations to the City Council for the various council liaison positions? I would appreciate the opportunity to serve the community in the following capacities: I . Council Liaison to the Recreation, Music & Parks Commission In addition to serving as the liaison, I would like to continue to work on the development of Gatti Park, upgrading the Luchessi Pool, repairing the indoor pool at the Boys & Girls Club, and to jointly work with the Sonoma - Marin Fair Board to explore potentially sharing the use of the fairgrounds for recreational and civic purposes. 2. Alternate to the Sonoma County Transportation Authority I understand that Mr. Healy would like, to continue to serve as the Council representative to the SCTA. Although;I would like to advance to that position, I would be happy this year to continue to serve as the Alternate to the SCTA. Sonoma/Marin Narrows Advisory Committee I would like to serve as one of the two Council- appointed representatives to the Marin- Sonoma Narrows Policy Advisory Group. As the alternate SCTA representative, I attended many of the meetings and represented the Council last year. In light of the goals of the new Council, I would like to be the official designate this year in addition to the SCTA Liaison. Petaluma Library Advisory.Board I would be happy to continue to serve as the Council liaison. This Board meets quarterly and I have been able to make most of the meetings. Unless another member of the Council desires this position, I would be happy to continue to serve on this board and forward the replacement of the Library HVAC system and the Community Room Expansion Project. 5. Petaluma Traffic Committee I attended the one meeting held this past year. I would be happy to continue in such a position if there is not anyone else interested in serving. This committee gives the Public an important opportunity to have a public meeting to review the decisions of the City's Traffic Advisory Group. 7 Thank you for your time, and consideration.
