California 2 3 4 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CITY OF PETALUMA'S GRANT REQUEST PROPOSAL 5 FOR THE COUNTY OF SONOMA'S COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP FOR YOUTH 6 PROGRAM 7 8 9 WHEREAS, the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors has established the "Community 10 Partnerships for Youth" Program to provide muhipurpose facilities specifically designed for school 11 aged youth; and 12 13 WHEREAS, the Recreation, Music and Parks Commission has recommended a proposed 14 course of action which best meets the needs of Petaluma's youth as outlined in the Community 15 Partnership for Youth Guidelines; and 16 17 WHEREAS, the Recreation, Music and Parks Commission has recommended a proposed 18 course of action which best meets the needs of Petaluma's Youth as outlined in the Community 19 Partnerships for Youth Guidelines; and 20 21 WHEREAS, the proposed course of action recommended by the Recreation, Music and Parks 22 Commission includes irrigation and athletic field renovation and Petaluma Junior High School, La 23 Tercera and Miwok schools, baseball backstops and fencing for new fields at Casa Grande High 24 School and renovations to the Polly Hannah Klaas Performing Arts Center; and 25 26 WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the proposal of the Recreation, Music and Parks 27 Commission and agrees to the proposed course of action. 28 29 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Petaluma 30 does hereby: 31 32 1. Approve the filing of applications for the Community Partnerships for Youth Grant 33 Program with the County of Sonoma; and 34 35 2. Appoints the Parks and_Recreation Director as agent of the City to conduct all 36 negotiations. 37 38 3.
