HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions 2011-084 N.C.S. 06/06/2011Resolution No. 2011 -084 N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California RESOLUTION TO CHANGE THE NAME OF THE TECHNOLOGY AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO TECHNOLOGY ADVISORY COMMITTEE WHEREAS, the City Council created the Technology and Telecommunications Advisory Committee ( "the Committee ") on June 6, 2005, by adopting Resolution 2005 -079 N.C.S. and repealed and updated the enabling legislation for the Committee on August 6, 2007 by adopting Resolution 2007 -144 N.C.S., and, WHEREAS, since the creation of the Committee, the composition of technology- related businesses in Petaluma has shifted from a telecommunications focus to one that is broader, less telecom centric. WHEREAS, the Committee, at its February 23, 2011 meeting, voted unanimously to ask that the name of the Committee be changed to Technology Advisory Committee to more accurately reflect the types of technology -based businesses located in Petaluma today. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Technology and Telecommunications Advisory Committee shall henceforth be known as the Technology Advisory Committee. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to reflect the name change on all agendas, notices and other official City documents relating to said committee. Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
