6 AWARDING C®NTRACT F®R THE LiTCCHESI PARK BIKE/PEDESTRIAN
7 PATH PR®,IECT

9 WHEREAS, bids have heretofore been invited in accordance with law for the
10 performance of certain work for the City of Petaluma generally described as Lucchesi
11 Park Bike/Pedestrian Path (Project #9927); and
12
13 WHEREAS, bids were received, opened, and read in accordance with law and the
14 Director of Parks and Recreation has made his report thereon, a copy of which is attached
15 hereto and by reference incorporated herein; and
16
17 WHEREAS, the Council has thoroughly considered said report of the Director of
18 Parks and Recreation and as a result has concluded that the bid of Carter Crilly
19 Construction 2080 Magnolia Avenue, Petaluma, CA 94952 was the lowest responsible
20 bid received and;
21
22 WHEREAS, the Council has thoroughly considered said report of the Director of
23 Parks and Recreation and as a .result has concluded that the bid of Carter Crilly
24 Construction on the basis of the solicitation for performance in accordance with the
25 aforesaid solicitation and bid submitted, be and the same is hereby approved and
26 accepted; and

28 N®W, THEREFORE, ~E IT RES®LVED, that the City Council of the City of
29 Petaluma, all prerequisite findings and determinations having been made in accordance
30 with law, that the bid of said Carter Crilly Construction computed to total $36,200 on the
31 basis of the solicitation and bid submitted, be and the same is hereby approved and
32 accepted; and.

34 IT IS FiJRTHER RES®LVED that, the City Council approves a contingency
35 fund equal to $3,620 (10 percent of the contract amount) for administrative change
36 orders; and,
37
38 IT IS FURTHER RES®LVED, that the City Council of the City of Petaluma
39 authorizes up to $2,100 for hiring a temporary construction inspector for the project; and
40
41 IT IS FURTHER RES®LVED that the City Council of the City of Petaluma
42 approves the use of an additional $22,000 from the Park Development Fund balance in
43 order for the project to proceed; and

45 I'T IS FURTI~EIt ItESOI,VED; that the'Gify'of Petaluma enter into a contract
46 with the said successful bidder for performance as herein irdcated for the amount of said
47 bid and for performance in accordance with plans and specifications heretofore prepared,
48 approved, and on file in the office of-the Director of Parks and Recreation, and the City
49 Manager be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute such contract, and the City
50 Director of Finance is hereby authorized to pay all proper clams for performance of said
51 contract out of Account Number 209-400-9927-7104.
