AWARDING THE .BID FOR THREE NEW
CARDIAC HEART MONITORIDEFIBRILLATORS
FOR THE PETALUMA FIRE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Petaluma Fire Department operates an emergency
ambulance using two emergency ambulances and one reserve ambulance; and,
WHEREAS, each of~ the ambulances carry a cardiac heart monitor; and,
WHEREAS, the current LP-5 cardiac heart monitors are aged, unreliable,
and do not have needed cardiac pacing capability; and,
WHEREAS, the fire department recommends the replacement of the
department's cardiac heart monitors; and,
WHEREAS, partial funding is available from the Les Lenz Memorial
Donation Fund; and,
WHEREAS, fire department staff has conducted a thorough and
comprehensive equipment evaluation; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid for cardiac heart
monitor defibrillators which comply with the approved specifications therefore be,
and the same is hereby awarded to Zoll Medical Corp., 500 West Cummings Park,
Woburn, Massachusetts 01801 - 6516 for the sum of $32,969.00 including California
Sales Tax.
Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
