HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 93-101 05/03/1993resolution No. 93-101 N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California 1 2 3 4 5 6 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF I'ETALUMA REJECTING BIDS SUBMITTED FOR ANNUAL WEED ABATEMENT 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 WHEREAS, bid proposals for the City of Petaluma's annual weed abatement program were sent out containing a requirement for prevailing wages; and WHEREAS, the State Labor Code requirement for prevailing wages is applicable only to general law cities and public works, and the City's weed abatement work is conducted on private property; and 15 16 17 18 19 WHEREAS, the City is a charter city and has determined that weed abatement work. performed on private property is not a public work and need not require prevailing wages.
