HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 93-141 06/07/1993,,. ~es®Il.ltlOCl N~. 93-141 N.~.~. 1 ~~f thf~ C:ily of 1'c~t~alu-T~~~, C~liforni~a 2 3 4 RESOLUTION APPROVING REVISION TO THE LIST OF TREES 5 APPROVED FOR PLANTING ADJACENT TO PUBLIC STREETS 6 AND SIDEWALKS IN THE CITY OF PETALUMA 7 8 WHEREAS, Section 13.08.030 of the Petaluma Municipal Code permits amendment to the 9 List of Trees Approved for Planting Adjacent to Public Streets and within rights-of-way, as 10 deemed necessary by the Recreation, Music and Parks Commission; and 11 12 WHEREAS, the Tree Advisory Committee has recommended amendment to the List of 13 Trees Approved for Planting Adjacent to Public Streets and Sidewalks in the City of 14 Petaluma to better address current City policies pertaining to street trees; and 15 16 WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission, Site Plan and Architectural Review 17 Committee, and the Recreation, Music and Parks Commission have each considered the 18 matter and forwarded their separate recommendations in favor of such amendment; and 19 20 WHEREAS, the City Council, upon review of all information forwarded by the 21 aforementioned bodies, has found the proposed amendments to be consistent with 22 applicable goals, policies and programs of the General Plan; 23 24 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the List of Trees Approved for Planting 25 Adjacent to Public Streets and Sidewalks in the City of Petaluma is hereby amended to 26 incorporate revisions as recommended in the attached Exhibit A. 27 trereso/rpa Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
