EXAMPLES OF DUTIES Assists in planning and directing the administrative and technical phases of city planning and community development;'conducts•or-supervises long- range planning projects, residential development control system, housing, revitalization, redeve'l'opment, economic devel'o,pment-and planning grant programs. May supervise and coord.inate advance planning activities. Plans and conducts assigned long-range planning p'rojects., Performs special studies as assigned.' Engages in research',On planning problems including population estimates, economic growth:, land use, zoning and social statistics. Evaluates development plans for conformity with established policy and the general plan Ana'yzes data on land use and development and develops recommendations for action,. Knowledge of: Community planning techniques and disciplines; socio-economic factors affecting community planning,, hous''Fng and, revitalization; Federal, State and local planning laws and.programs.
