WHEREAS; on February 15, 1979, 'the Director -of Public
Works by Rudy Lonacj Chief Building hnspeetor,' filed hi.s re-
port (attached as,Exhibi.t A) on the demolition of that struc-
ture located upon the property known. as 719 Petaluma Blvd. North,
and also known as A.P. No. 6-092-17, and more particularly
described as follows:'
That certain piece or parcel of land l,yin.g and bei;i g in the
City of Petaluma;, County of Sonoma, State of California,
and more partic,ularly described as follows:
BEING a portion of the northerly side of Lot 'Five. hundred Seventy-
three ('573) as the same is laid down and numbered upon the offi-
cial niap of,t'h.e City of Petal`unia, asmade by ]as. T. Stratton, Esq.
Surveyor, and which port'.io'n thereof is described'more particularly
as:
BEGINNING at the northeast corner. -of said Lot No. 573''on the
southwesterly side 'li.ne of ;Main Street thence along the lime
between Lots Nos. 573 and 574 southwesterly one hundred (100)
feet; thence at right angles, southeasterly fifty (50) feet
and parallel, with Hain Street; thence a,t ri aht an,g'l es north-

NOW., THEREFORE', BE IT RESOLVED that the City -Council hereby
confirms in its entirety the report of th,e 'D:ir;e.ctor of Public

BE 'IT: FURTHER. RESOLVED that it a is -hereby ordered that the
charges stated in said report shall be -assessed against .said real
property ,and it -is :her- by confirmed 4s an: assessment against the
same and the same shall be recorded :on the. assessment toll, and
thereafter said assessment shallcons -tote a special assessment
against and be a lien upon .the real prop�e,rty.
BE IT FURTHER ;'RESOLVED -that the Director. of Public Works,
by and through the 'Chief Building Irrs'pector, is hereby ordered
to record a notice of lien in proper legal form against said real
property, in the form set out.in Exh-b-i't C attached hereto, and 0
the same shall have the same priorities and bear interest at the
rate of 7 percent per annum from -the date of this resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City. Council hereby deter-
mines that .s;aid..ass'essment shall not be payable in installments
but shall become due And payable with interest thereon forthwith.

Members of the City Council.
In accordance with 'the Uniform Buildin.g.Code and - the 'Uniform Code for the
Abatement of. Dangerous Buildings, and pursuant to orders to demolish, dated
May 26, 19.77, and 'December' 1 , 1978., the structure located upon . the property
known.as 719 Petaluma Blvd. `North, (A:P.A'6-092-,17')' was demolished on Febru-
ary 8, 1979, at 'a -cost of $2,900 (Two thousand nine hundred dollars). The
demolition was performed by 'BUZZ" Millerick, the lowest bidder on the work,
pursuant to a lump -sum bi:d.
Previously, due and proper Notice was served'upo:n Mrs.. Marian Noles, 313
Fifth Street, Petaluma, California, owner of the structure, -and upon Eugene
Kilbride, 1613 E. Madison Street, Petaluma; California, holder of an obli-
gation of sale thereon. Mrs. Nole,s exercised her' righ°t of appeal and after
a hearing thereon, the Board of B'uil,din.g Appeals upheld, the order to demolish
or repair. Mr. Kilbride. declined to e;xerci,se hi';s r°ight to appeal. None of
the persons interested in the property complied with the order to demolish
or repair.
Northbay Savings and:'Loan Association, holder of a first deed of trust upon
the ,property, has `express l'y waived any ri gh;t i t' may have had to notice or
appeal of th'e de.mo.l ition order, and has- a'cknowhedged first priority of the
City's_lien:
Based upon the foregoi n.g, I hereby regues.t that -the Counci 1 order and notice

protests and objections to the charges thereon.

NOTICE OF LIEN
Pursuant to the authority vested in me by Chapter 17.04 of the Petaluma
Municipal Code, I did, on the 8th day of February, 1979, or thereabouts,
order demolition of the 'structure upon. the real property hereinafter
described, and -the City Council of the City of -Petaluma did, on the :19th
day of March ..1979, .b'y Res o'lution No. 8'488 N.C.S. assess the cost of
demol-ition upon said real property,.and the same has not been paid nor
any part thereof, a'nd the City of Petaluma does hereby claim a lien -on
said. real property. i,n the sum of $2,900 (Two thousand, ,nine hundred dol-
lars) -and the same shall be.a lien upon said real property until the
said sum, with interest at the rate of seven percent (7%) per annum from
the said 5th day of March, 1979., has-been paid in full -and discharged of
record.
The real property h'ereinbe,fore mentioned and upon .which a .lien is claimed,
is that certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in.the City of
Petaluma;.. County of. Sonoma, State of California, and more particularly
described as follows:
