RESOLUTION APPROVING GOALS FOR THE
AFFIRMATIVE ACTION PLAN FISCAL YEAR 1993-1994
WHEREAS, this City Council has approved the Affirmative
Action Plan by Resolution No. 7001 N.C.S.; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to establish the annual Goals
and Timetables;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Council hereby
adopts the Goals for Fiscal Year 1993-1994 contained in Exhibit
"A", attached hereto and incorporated herein as fully set forth.
Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.

ANALYSIS OF FY 92-93 GOALS
Administrative Series:
GOAL: Increase .minority participation by at least one Asian female.
RESULT: Not accomplished.
ANALYSIS: There was one hire during the Fiscal. Year in Police .Records. The
Administrative: Series Census Data for Sonoma County shows 7.7 % of the
population workforce. is Hispanic and 2:9 % Asian. The City Percentage is
. 7.7% Hispanic in this category.
Maintenance Series:
GOAL: ~ Increase -female participation in the maintenance category:
RESULT: Not accomplished ~~
ANALYSIS: There were no hires in.this~category during the Fiscal Year. The
Maintenance :Series Census, Data for Sonoma County shows 4%: of the
population workforce ,is female. The City Percentage is 2.1 % female in thin
category.
Police- Series:
GOAL: Increase minority and female participation by at least one per category.
RESULT: Partially Accomplished
ANALYSIS: Four officers were hired. Two were white males, one a. white female; and
- one was a hispanic female. The Police and Detective category for Sonoma
County shows that 7.8 % of the workforce is minority and 18 , 3 % female.
City percentages are 2.1 %' minority and 4.2% female.
Fire Series:
,GOAL: Increase minority and-female participation by at least on per category: ~:
RESULT: Not Accomplished.
ANALYSIS: There were. no hires' during the Fiscal Year. The .Firefighting categor .for
Sonoma-County shows~'ttiat 7.4% of the workforce is minority and 3.6%
. ~ femme. City percentages show 6: 8 %~ minonty with no females..
