Resolution No. 2023-130 N.C.S.
of the City of Petaluma, California
APPOINTING A VOTING DELEGATE AND ALTERNATES
FOR THE LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES 2023 ANNUAL CONFERENCE
WHEREAS, the League of California Cities Annual Conference is scheduled for September 20-22, 2023;
and
WHEREAS, cities attending the conference vote at the annual business meeting on a slate of resolutions that
establish League policy; and
WHEREAS, in order for the City to vote at the annual business meeting, the City Council must designate a
voting delegate and alternate(s), if applicable; and
WHEREAS, the Voting Delegate/Alternate Form and Council Resolution designating the voting delegate
and alternate(s) must be submitted to the League by August 28, 2023; and
WHEREAS, traditionally, at least one member of the City Council attends the Annual Conference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Petaluma hereby:
1. Appoints Vice Mayor Cader Thompson as the Voting Delegate to the League of California Cities 2023 Annual
Conference.
2. Appoints Councilmember Shribbs as the first Alternate and Councilmember Healy as the second Alternate to
the League of California Cities 2023 Annual Conference.
3. Directs the City Clerk to submit the 2023 Annual Conference Voting Delegate/Alternate Form along with a
certified copy of this resolution to the League of California Cities no later than August 28, 2023.
Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
