HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 93-326 12/20/1993Res®lutiorl N®. 93-326 N,C.s. of the City of Petaluma, California RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO LEVY SPECIAL ASSESSMENT FOR POLICE AND FIRE SERVICES RELATED TO REAL PROPERTY The City Council of the City of Petaluma resolves: It is the intention of the City Council to levy a special assessment on real property within the City of Petaluma, pursuant to Chapter 4.30 of Title 4 of the Petaluma Municipal Code, to reimburse the City for the cost of police and fire services related to real property. The real property subject to assessment shall include all real property within the boundaries of the City of Petaluma, excepting property owned by the United States, the State of California, the County of Sonoma, the City of Petaluma or other public agency. The special assessments proposed hereunder shall be limited to a term of 20 years, beginning with fiscal year 1994-95, and shall thereafter cease unless renewed by the City Council by a new proceeding pursuant to Chapter 4.30 or other legal authority. The City Manager is hereby directed to prepare and file with the City Clerk an Assessment Report meeting the requirements of Section 4.30.103 of the Petaluma Municipal Code. Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
