Representatives ofthe City of -Petaluma and the Petaluma Peace Officers' Associa- tion, acknowledge that they have fulfilled their mutual and respective obligations to meet and confer under the Meyers Milias-Brown Act. As.a result, the parties have cora to a mutual understanding which the representatives of the City of Petaluma and the representatives of the Petaluma Peace Officers' Association, who have the approval of.their members, agree to recommend for acceptance.and approval to the City Council of the -'.City. of Petaluma, as follows: 1. This Memorandum-of-Understandin-shall:be"for a. one year term for fiscal year from July 1, 1976, through June 30, 1977• 2. The expressed provisions hereof represent all the. changes to be made in the terms and conditions of .employmelat, of the: employees of the City 'of Petaluma.. represented by the Petaluma. Peace OfficersAssociation and constitute the City employees in Unit 6,,,. 'Therefore, all :other terms, conditions .and pro- visions not changed ;hereby shall ;remain, in full force and effect. 3. Meeting and Conferring for the 1977=78 fiscal year will corw,Ience in April, 1977. 4. The City shall adjust, on July. 1, 1976., the, existing, salary ranges for each of. the classifications., included. in_ representational tnit.6 by four_ percent (4%). 5. The;City'of-Petaluma Group.Medical=Hospital and Dental lnsurXQnce'Frogram: The City shall -provide a group medical -hospital, and dental insurance coverage program for all - employees -In this Unit as provided herein.' The City shall pay, during fiscal. year. 1976-7Z; the following premium amounts towards the;City group medical=hospital insurance coverage program: (A) $4.3.03 per month -.per employee towards employee coverage; and` (B) For employees :who maintain dependent (s) coverage., either: (a)_ $20:'48 per n nth per, employee towards one (1) dependent coverage for employees who maintain one (1) dependent coverage; or _ 2 _ (b) $24.41 ;per month per ,employee toward two (2) or more dependents coverage for employees who maintain two (2) or more dependent coverage. The City shall pay,.d.uring.fiscal year•.1976-77, the following premium amounts towards the City group dental insurance 'cove rage program: (A) $6.34 per month per employee towards employee coverage; and (B) $13.50 per month per. employee towards. dependents coverage for employees who maintain dependents coverage. 6. The City will provide one ,(l;) "Floating".holiday per employee, during fiscal year 1976-77, which may be taken by the employee at a time mutually agreed upon by the employee and the Police Chief, consistent with operational needs. Employees who have not yet"taken the "Floating" holiday provided in the 1975-76 Memorandum of'Under standing shall take such "Floating" holiday not later than December 31, 1976. 7. Call-back (excludes Court, time call-back). An employee who is called back to work, excluding Court time call-back, after having completed the employee's regular shift and having left the City pread.ses, shall receive a.miniurum of one (1) hour of work or one (1) hour of pay, at the overtime rate. 8. Educational_ Incentive Pay.,Plan A. Those -employees receiving -educational incentive pay --on June 30, 1976, shall have _such payments continue.through December 31, 1976. - 'Such, payment shall be continued from . December 31, 1976, -to -June .30., 1977, only for those employees who have successfully completed- three '(3) addi- tional college units during the calendar year of 1976. The following criteria shall.apply to this retention requirement: _ (1), Courses shall be approved prior to registration. (2)'. Courses must:be related to the performance of an eligible employee'.s normal duties and re- sponsibilities as determined by a committee consisting of the Police Chief, Personnel Officer., and a representative designated by the Association. a _ 3; _. a ha monthly incentive paymen,- amounts for the classlflcations e Officer,,Police (Investigator)' or Youth. .Officer• 'Services 'Officer; as applicable,; (a) AA Degree in.
