HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions 2011-130 N.C.S. 09/12/2011 Resolution No. 2011 -13 0 N.C.S of the City of Petaluma, California NAMING THE HISTORIC LIVERY STABLE THE "DAVID YEARSLEY RIVER HERITAGE CENTER" WHEREAS, the City has adopted the "Facilities Naming Policy and Procedure" (Policy) which outlines the objectives and criteria for the City to follow in naming existing and future facilities; and WHEREAS, the City Council shall exercise final authority in naming all public facilities within the City's jurisdiction; and WHEREAS, a request has been received by members of the Friends of the Petaluma River to name the Historic Livery Stable the "David Yearsley River Heritage Center "; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this request meets the objectives and criteria as outlined in the Policy. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Petaluma City Council hereby names the Historic Livery Stable on McNear Peninsula the "David Yearsley River Heritage Center ". Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
