Public Comment on Item 4.A

Ed Maas, Petaluma, feels that no matter who gets chosen, this is way too late. He
thought that the decision needs to be made soon. He further stated that the City
Charter needs to be updated so this issue doesn't come up again.

Dale Axelrod, Petaluma, stated that the City Charter is deficient in the sense that
one knows that someone from the Council will run as mayor and there will
automatically be a vacancy that needs to be filled.

Zen Destiny, Petaluma, thinks Pam Torliatt is in a "c/ass by herself" and the most
qualified applicant. He further stated that he would prefer to see a six member
Council instead of restoring the "progressive bloc."

Sherry Fabre - Macia, Petaluma, stated that the application process to appoint a
council member violated the process of a democratic election. She further
spoke in support of Jason Davies.

John Hanania, Petaluma, stated that the City Charter needs to be revisited for
consistency. He spoke in support of Gene Beatty.
