She further stated that 22 the Climate Protection Campaign has helped all the cities in Sonoma County achieve nine 23 national climate protection precedents including a greenhouse gas reduction target. 24 25 Larry Robinson, Board Member, Climate Protection Campaign, Santa Rosa, spoke about 26 the Board of Supervisors authorizing a feasibility study for Community Choice Aggregation 27 Initiative for Sonoma County. 28 29 Bill Rinehart, Petaluma, expressed concerns about the south interchange and what it means 30 from a driver's perspective. 31 32 Mayor Glass 33 34 Bill Kortum, Petaluma, spoke about the proposed south interchange and said it will be a "50 -year 35 mistake." 36 37 David Keller, Petaluma, spoke about the south interchange having four traffic lights heading 38 south to get onto southbound Highway 101; three traffic lights to get off of 101 coming 39 northbound into the city and adding heavy truck traffic from local businesses and stated it will 40 "not be a pleasant driving experience." 41 42 Zen Destiny, Petaluma, objected to the public not being allowed to comment on presentations. 43 He called for the return of all the National Guardsmen. 44 45 Pam Granger, American Lung Association, Petaluma, presented the Council with a draft 46 ordinance for smoking control in the City of Petaluma. 47 48 Karla Noyes, Vice President, Sonoma - Petaluma State Historic Parks Association, announced the 49 sheep shearing event to be held at the Petaluma Adobe on Saturday, April 9, 2011. 50 Vol. 46, Page 16 April 4, 2011 1 Bill Donahue, Sandalwood Home Owners Association, Petaluma, spoke regarding Senate Bill 444 2 and Assembly Bill 579 presently in Sacramento relative to mobile home park issues. He asked the 3 Council to support both bills. 4 5 Mary Glardon, Petaluma, requested a continuance of the hearing of the meeting of April 18th 6 on the DEIR Deer Creek Village item as it is the beginning of Passover, and that week also 7 includes Good Friday. 8 9 Marina Vasquez de Cineros, Citizenship Class, Petaluma Adult School, Petaluma, stated that in 10 the Citizenship Class she learns about American history, local government and how to live 11 peacefully with love. 12 13 Paul Claeyssens, Broker, Leading Edge Properties, Petaluma, spoke about the appearance of 14 the driving range at the Petaluma Boulevard North, and said it is a very unattractive introduction 15 to Petaluma. 16 17 Gerald Moore, Petaluma Wetlands Alliance, Petaluma, provided clarifications of the 18 Shollenberger repair of the decant - channel /marsh grant issue. 19 20 Katherine Bobrowski, Petaluma, spoke of problems with vandalism in her mobile home park. 21 22 John Hanania, Petaluma, spoke about his request for information about ticketing by the 23 Petaluma Police Department on Highway 101 for alleged trivial infractions. 24 25 COUNCIL COMMENT 26 27 Mayor Glass 28 29 Council Member Kearney 30 31 Council Member Harris 32 33 Council Member Renee asked that the meeting be adjourned in memory of Gerald D.
