17 PUBLIC COMMENT
18
19 Katherine Bobrowski, Petaluma, reported incidents of illegal parking and vandalism in her mobile
20 home park.
21
22 Zen Destiny, Petaluma, feels that the items he speaks about regarding State or Federal
23 government directly affect the City and are therefore within the City's purview. He objects to the
24 grant money used to operate random DUI checkpoints because he believes they are in violation
25 of basic law of probable cause.
26
27 Janice Cader- Thompson, Petaluma, a May 11, 2011 fundraiser for burn victims, when public
28 safety vehicles drove through downtown Petaluma. She said the noise of the sirens was offensive
29 and prevented citizens from getting in or out of parking spaces. She asked if the
30 participants were on duty, and if taxpayer money was used for this event.

19 Public Comment on CONSENT CALENDAR Items
20
21 Zen Destiny, Petaluma, speaking on Item 3.F, said the he "sees the State is stealing from
22 the City again." On Item 3.1, he said the PIER program is "littered with unsubstantiated
23 assertions." On Item 3.J, he said he supports the concept of community choice
24 aggregation, but he believes the oil companies should be kicked off State and Federal
25 lands, and the drilling should be done by State employees.
26
27 Janice Cader- Thompson, Petaluma, speaking on Item 3.D, noted that the original design
28 for this project included a bridge that would connect directly from the path to the
29 parking lot. Unfortunately, it was apparently too late to incorporate this into the project.

3
4 Janice Cader- Thompson, Petaluma, asked that only the perimeters of the two
5 parcels at 555 North McDowell Boulevard be plowed instead of the entire
6 property because of concern for wetlands. She thought the biology report on the
7 site was old and appeared to be faulty, and she also thought it would be great if
8 a biologist could be on site during the work to make sure the wetlands areas are
9 protected.
