of the City of Petaluma, California
AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF APPLICATIONS
FOR FEDERAL TRANSIT FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma has identified a need for additional funding to support
the goals of the Transit Recovery Strategy;, and,
WHEREAS, Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funds represent a potential source of
additional transit funding; and,
WHEREAS, an apportionment of FTA formula funds are .available to eligible transit
operators in the Petaluma urbanized area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby authorizes the
City Manager to seek and compete for FTA funding through a variety of options including
becoming primary grantee or becoming asub-grantee working with -the County or Golden Gate
Transit to pass through FTA funds to the City.
Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
