RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF SONOMA COUNTY TO PROVIDE FOR THE CONSOLIDATION OF A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL BOND ELECTION WITH THE STATE, OF CALIFORNIA GENERAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 5, 1974. WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Petaluma (the .1 "City) has heretofore introduced an ordinance calling a special municipal bond election to be held in the City on • . Tuesday, November 5, 1974, at which election will be sub- mitted to the qualified electors of the City the following measure, to wit: MEASURE ( ): Shall the City of Petaluma (Parks and incur a bonded indebtedness • Recreation) in the principal. amount of • $2,2D0,09 for the acquisi- tion, construction and Completion of the folidwing.muniCipal imprOvernent, to wit: Park and recreation improvements, including acqui- sition of land; development of new parks, in- . cluding fill, grading,, and other improvements; imprOVements to existing parks; equipment, furniture, landscaping, lands, •easements and nights -of-Way.; and other works,.property or • structures necessary or Convenient for "park • and recreatiOn improvements for the City of Petaluma? • AND WHEREAS, a State ofhCalifornia General Election Will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 1974, and it is the desire of the Council that said special municipal bond elec - tion consolidated with said General Election; • NOW, *THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Petaluma, as follows: • „ • • - - Section 1: The Board of Supervisors of Sonoma County is hereby requested to order the'consolida,tion of said special municipal bond election with said General Election to be held on Tu'esday,,November 5, 1974•, insofar as the City is concerned, and to further- provide that within the territory affected by said order of consolidation, to wit, the City, the election precincts:, polling places and voting booths shall, in every•c.ase be the same and there shall be only one set of election officers in each of said precincts, and to further provide :that.•said measure herein- above set forth shall be set .forth.in the form of ballot • to.be used at said election insofar as the same is held within the City. The Board of Supervisors of, Sonoma County is further r•equested'to order the County Clerk of such County (i) to set forth on all sample ballots relating to said consolidated elections, to be Mailed to the qualified electors of the City, said measure; hereinabove set forth, and to mail•with said sample ballots to said electors poll- ing place cards and printed, copies of a tax rate statement and of arguments (if any) f q y or and against said measure, and (ii) to provide :absent voter- ballots for said General Election . and said s "pecial.municipal bond election consolidated there- with for use by qualified electors of the City who are en- titled thereto, in the manner provided by law. Section 2.
