HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2006-144 N.C.S. 08/07/2006 Resolution No. 2006-144 N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF FY 2006-2007 SLESF, IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $100,000, FOR EXPENDITURES RELATED OT THE CAD/RMS PROJECT WHEREAS, the State of California has extended legislation providing for Supplemental Law Enforcement Services Funds (SLESF) from the Citizens' Option for Public Safety (COPS) Program; and, WHEREAS, the funds are to be used to supplement front line municipal police services; and, WHEREAS, the Police Chief is required to make a recommendation for the allocation of the funds; and, WHEREAS, the Police Chief has recommended that the SLESF funds be allocated to the Computer Aided Dispatch/Records Management System (CAD/RMS) project; and, W>FIEREAS, the City Council is required to hold a public hearing on the use of the funds each year. NOW, THEREFORE B.E IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby authorizes the allocation of FY 2006-2007 Supplemental Law Enforcement Service Funds, in the estimated amount of $100,000, per the Police Chief's recommendation, for expenditures related to the CAD/RMS project. Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
