2 RESOLITTION APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
3 FOR THE 1991 STREET REHABILITATION PROJECT ON
4 EAST "D" STREET
5 AWARDING THE CONSTRiJCTION CONTRACT AND
6 AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO IIIRE
7 A TEMPORARY CONSTRjTCTION INSPECTOR FOR THIS PROJECT

10 WHEREAS, the project is necessary for street maintenance improvements; and,
11
12 WHEREAS, it was determined by the Planning Department staff that this project is
13 categorically exempt according to the State CEQA guidelines; and,
14
15 WHEREAS, eight bids were properly received and opened on August 13, 1991; and,
16
17 NOW, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Petaluma, that the plans and
18 specifications for the 1991 Street Rehabilitation on East "D" Street (Petaluma Boulevard South
19 to Payran Street) are hereby approved; and,
20
21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the low bidder is accepted for the 1991 Street
22 Rehabilitation Project on East "D" Street; and,
23
24 BE IT FURTIIER RESOLVED, that the contract be and it hereby is awarded to Hermsmeyer
25 Paving Company, Inc., the low bidder, for the amount of $429,719; and,
26
27 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Engineer is authorized to spend up to $20,000
28 for hiring a temporary construction inspector for this project; and,

2 to execute the contract with Hermsmeyer Paving Company, Inc., subject to the review and
3 approval of all contract documents, insurance certificates and bonds by the City Attorney.
