Dear Mr. Raymond: •
•
It is my pleasure to submit to you the following outline of professional
•
landscape architectural services that my office proposes to perform..
Phase I. Preliminary Design
A. I shall visit the site with a representative of the City of •
Petaluma (Mr. Jim Raymond) as well as a representative of the
Little League.
B. I shall secure and compile available data pertaining to the
•
existing conditions such as underground utilities and topography.
•
C. I shall meet with the architectural firm of Leib and QuarAna to
help in siteing the' "Field House" and the bleachers.
D. Based on the available information, I shall prepare a Preliminary
Study Dcsign for review and comment by Mr. Jim Raymond. •
•
E. I shall prepare a revised Preliminary Study Design based on his
preliminary design (study #2) based on his review and comments
on the initial layout.
a. I shall also provide a rough cost estimate of the
' proposed development. •
•
F. I shall provide four prints, one of which will be colored for
presentation purposes.

Compensation for the above - mentioned services (Phase I) shall be at the( ,_ � _+�{ - /. % "L.(
rate of times 58.00 per hour (520.00). The total shall not exceed
S500.00 (Including blueprinting) .

Phase II. Working Drawings
•
The working drawings shall consist of the following:
A. A revised site plan as per the instruction of the Petaluma City
Council and•the Parks and Recreation Commission.
B. A revised cost estimate.
A Reference Plan which will indicate the overall development of
the site and refer to the other sheets of the Working Drawings,
(with regard to grading, etc.)
C. A "Grading and Drainage Plan ". This plan will indicate the
contouring of the land, the locations of catch basins, sizes of
drain lines, and etc.
D. The "Planting Plan" will indicate the locations, sizes, and
spacing of the plant materials to be used.
a. In order to arrive at a reasonable recommendation for
the soil preparation and amendments, I shall have soil
samples taken and analyzed for their chemical and physi-
cal properties.
E. The "Irrigation Plan" will indicate the locations and types of
sprinkler heads, the type of automatic valves and their sizes,
the location and type of automatic controller equipment. Friction
loss will also be computed so as to efficiently size the water
lines.
F. I will provide landscape details as needed to effectively do the
work for the planting, irrigation, and site work.
G. I will provide specifications for the above work so that it can
be put out to bid should the City desire to do so.
H. I shall provide a set of reproducible sepias of the entire working
drawings. I shall also provide three sets of prints, one of which
will be colored for presentation purposes.
Compensation for the working drawings for this project shall be at the rate
of 22 times S8.00 per hour ($20.00). The total shall not exceed the sum of
S2,000.00.
