RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF A
NEGATIVE DECLARATION PURSUANT TO THE CALIFORNIA
ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT FOR
MISCELLANEOUS SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS
WHEREAS, City staff recommended amendments to the City of Petaluma
Subdivision Ordinance (Municipal Code Title 20) to .simplify administration of
said ordinance and to update sections in response to changes in City plans,
procedure, policy, etc.; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council considered the Planning and Engineering
Staff's recommendations and all pertinent information on December 4, 1989
prior to rendering a decision; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed amendments affect the following Subdivision
Ordinance Chapters: 20.04, 20.08, 20.16, 20.20, 20.24 and 20.28, and
20.36,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the issuance of said
Negative Declaration pursuant to CEQA is hereby approved for these
Subdivision Ordinance amendments, based on the following findings:
1. The Subdivision Ordinance amendments, do not have the potential
to degrade the quality of the environment, substantially reduce
the habitat of a fish or wildlife species, cause a fish or wildlife
population to drop below self-sustaining levels, threaten to
eliminate a plant or animal community, reduce the habitat of a fish
or wildlife species, cause a fish or wildlife population to drop
below self-sustaining levels, threaten to eliminate a plant or
animal community, reduce the number or restrict the range of a
rare or endangered plant or animal or eliminate important
examples of the major periods of California history or prehistory.
2. The Subdivision Ordinance amendments, do not have the potential
to achieve short-term, to the disadvantage of long-term,
environmental goals .

3. The Subdivision Ordinance amendments, do not have impacts
which are individually limited , but cumulatively considerable .
4. The Subdivision Ordinance amendments, do not have
environmental effects which will cause substantial adverse effects
on human beings, either directly or indirectly.

5. The Subdivision Ordinance amendments are consistent with and
further promotes the objectives, goals, and policies of the General
Plan .
