AN ,ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PETALUMA MUNICIPAL CODE
BY ADDING. TO TITLE 10 , SECTIONS 10 .:24 . 0.61 AND 10 .-
24. 0.62 TO REGULATE CAMPING AND SLEEPING IN PUBLIC
LANDS -
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF :THE CITY OF PETALUMA. that Title 10
Of 'the Petaluma Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding thereto
Sections 10 . 24 . 061 and 10. 2446:2 to read as follows :
Section I . 10 . 24 . 0.61 . PUBLIC AND. PLACES OF BUSINESS .
SLEEPING INVEHICLES_PROHIBITED. It is unlawful for any
person to sleep in any -vehicle parked, on the public
street, alley, way' or parking area, or any any privately owned
parking area used for the parking of any customers of any business
enterprise in the city 'between the hours of '6 P.M. and 6 A.M. on
Any day. A vehicle , for the purpose of this section shall be
defined by
Section 670 of the Vehicle Code of the State of Cali-
,
fornia as it now exists or May' hereafter be amended.
Section II . 10: 24462 . PUBLIC PLACES - CAMPING AND
SLEEPING. It is unlawful for any person to' camp or place ,
'erect, Or maintain any tents, house trailers ; tampers , or other
camping or sleeping facilities of any kind whatsoever on any
public property of this City.
Section III . The City Clerk be , and she is hereby directed to
publish this Ordinance in the, Petaluma Argus-Courier, the official news-
paper of the City, for the per-iod, and _in the manner required by the City
Charter.
