A RESOLUTION OF CONCURRENCE AND SUPPORT OF 4 4.1 7 THE GOVERNOR' S DESIGNATION OF FARM BUREAU WEEK INTRODUCED BY COUNC IaN ‘-r444N0 ` And SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN ' AP-AA At A Regular Meeting of the City Council of the Cityiof Petaluma on the - 1st day of October,' 1973. WHEREAS, Governor Ronald Reagan has officially designated September 30 through October 6 as Farm Bureau Week throughout California; and WHEREAS, for over fifty-four (54) years the Farm Bureau, governed by farmers and ranchers , has promoted policies in the best interests of agriculture, the Number One industry in the State and an important part of the economy of Sonoma County; and WHEREAS, this Petaluma City Council also wishes to pay tribute to members of the Sonoma County Farm Bureau for their dedi- cation and their past and future interest in the farming industry; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED. that this Petaluma City Council endorses the foregoing recitals and further herein submits concurrence and support of Governor Ronald Reagan by declaring the week of September 30 through October 6 , in this year of our Lord 1973 , as Farm Bureau Week in Sonoma County. ** ** ** ** ** I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and' adopted by the Council of the City of Petaluma, on the 1st day of October, 1973 , by the following vote : AYES.: Councilmen Brunner, Cavanagh,, Jr. , Daly, Harberson, Mattei, Perry, Jr. , and Mayor Putnam.
