Home My WebLink AboutResolution 90-070 N.C.S. 03/12/1990F~eSOlutiol~ No. 90-~o N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California 1 ORDERING TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS 2 ANNEXATION N0.90-1 (1500 PETALUMA BOULEVARD SOUTH) 3 ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF PETALUMA 4 Whereas, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of 5 Sonoma, State of California, adopted its Resolution No. 2024 on February, ]990, 6 making determinations and approving the proposed annexation to the City of. 7 Petaluma of territory described in Exhibit A attached hereto and by this reference s incorporated herein; and, 9 Whereas, the reason for this annexation is the parcel has been purchased by l o the City of Petaluma from the State of California for public use; and, 11 Whereas, a public hearing on this annexation was called for and held by the 12 Local Agency Formation Commission on February 8, 1990, and recommended the 13 City of Petaluma proceed with the annexation without hearing. 14 Now, therefore, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of Petaluma 15 hereby orders 1500 Petaluma Blvd. South (including approximately 222 linear feet 16 of the entire 120 foot width of Petaluma Blvd. South fronting the northerly 17 boundary of A.P. 19-210-12) as anon-contiguous annexation, described in Exhibit A 18 annexed, and directs the City Clerk to transmit a certified copy of this resolution 19 with applicable fees as required by Section 54902.5 of the Government Code to the 2 o Executive Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission of Sonoma County. 21 22 23 24 25 2 6 Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City. ANNEXATION N0. 90-1.(.1'.500 PETALUMA BOULEVARD .SOUTH) TO CITY OF PETALUMA RESOLVED, by the-Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of Sonoma, State of California;,,. that WHEREAS, a,Resolution of Application for the proposed annexation of territory to the Ci y of Petaluma in th'e;County of Sonoma was heretofore filed by the City of Petaluma and accepted for filing on January 19, 1990 by the Executive Officer of this Loc"a1 Ageney~Formaton_Commssion pursuant to Part Two of Title Four, Division Two, commencing with Section 56001 et seq. of the Government Code, and WHEREAS, the Executive Officer, pursuant to Government Code Section 56.8.33, has reviewed this proposal and prepared a report 'ineludng'his recommendations .thereon, and has .furnished a copy of this "report to each person entitled to a copy; and . Section 6. Proceedings of the governing board of the conducting authority may be-held without notice and hearing, without an election, or both, pursuant to Section 57002 of the Government Code. Section 7. The Executive Officer is hereby authorized and directed to mail certified copies of this resolution in the manner and as provided n,`Secaion 56853 of the Government Code.
