WHEREAS , the Planning Commission has held a hearing on the effect
of contracting for additional water from the Sonoma County Water Agency
and has submitted its resolutions of findings thereon; and
WHEREAS, this Council has considered the resolution and has held
its hearing on the effects of contracting for additional water and concurs
with the findings made by the Planning Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Petaluma finds that the 'construction proposed by the Sonoma County Water
Agency which will furnish Petaluma with .9 . 8 million gallons of water per
day is in accordance with the population growth anticipated under the City
of Petaluma' s. General Plan, Environmental Design Plan, and Growth Control
Policy through year 1984 .
under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
