WHEREAS the Department of Public Works desires to process
certain engineering data on the County' s IBM No. 1130 computer system,
which this Council finds to be appropriate,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor be, and she
is , hereby authorized to execute an agreement with the County of
Sonoma in the form as processed.
under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.

AGREEMENT FOR COZ4PUT ,R SERVICE
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this
day of , 1973, by and between the County of
Sonoma, hereinafter referred to as "COUNTY" and the City of
Petaluma, hereinafter referred to as "CITY'''.
W I T N E S S E T E
WHEREC S, COUNTY has an engineering computer system
within ita Department of Public Works, more particularly described
ass tam No. 1130, and
wHirax$;, it is the desire of CITY to obtain engineer-
ing computer services , and
WHEREAS, it is to the mutual benafit of COUNTY nad
CITY to enter into an agreement concerning such services ,
NOW,. THEREFORE , IT IS X GTtEEf a
1. C,OnNTY will keypunch and then process CITY supplied
engine: ring data on the IE??-S 1130 commuter system located in the
Le,partment of Public Works. The supplied data shall he coded on
Input forums required for keypunching and input to the commuter
system. The accuracy and adequacy of the input data and processing
instructions are the sole responsibility of CITY. No allowance
in charged time will be allowed for errors in data or programs.
This processing will be done only at such times as permitted by the
County Director of Public Works and so as not to interfere with
COUNTY'S regular engineering use of the system. Output data will
he either printed or plotted on paper furnished by COUNTY.
Transporting input and output data to the computer system shall
be the responsibility of CITY. COUNTY intends to exercise mason-
able uare in the handling of CITY'S records; however, Comm will
assume no responsibility for loss or damage to records of CITY
regardless of cause of such loss or damage.
2. CITY will pay COUNTY for the services described in
Paragraph 1 at the rates of six dollars and fifty cents ($6.30)
per hour for keypunching and thirty dollars ($30.00) per hour for
computer processing. The time to be paid for will be user clock
tics rather than machine clock tuna. CITY agrees to pay COUNTY
within thirty (30) days of the date of killing provided by COUNTY
through its Department of Public Works.
3. It is mutually agreed as follows :
(a) This agreement may be terminated by either party
upon thirty (30) days written notice to the other party.
(b) The hourly rate charged may he amended by
mutual agreement.

COUNTY either expressed or implied, as to the accuracy , precision .or
fitness of said computer system for services: to be provided to CITY.
This document is the entire agreement between the parties hereto.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the partie+s 'h-areto have caused this
Agreement to he executed by their respective officers , duly authorized,
the provisions of which Agreement are effective as of the day, month
