HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 90-280 08/06/1990ReSOlUtl01`1 NO. 9o-2so N C.S. 1 of the City of Petaluma, California 2 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF A NEGATIVE 3 DECLARATION PURSUANT TO CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL 4 QUALITY ACT FOR A GENERAL PLAN LAND USE DESIGNATION 5 AMENDMENT AND A PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT ZONE FOR 6 AP NO.'s 007-570-16, 18, 21 AND 15 7 8 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended the issuance of a Negative 9 Declaration pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for the 10 following project: 11 12 1. Amendment to the General Plan Land Use Designation from "Urban Standard" to 13 "Urban High" fora 59,000 square foot property located at the corner of Caulfield 14 Lane and McDowell Boulevard South, Sonoma County Assessor's Parcel No.'s 007- 15 570-16, 18, 21 and 15. 16 17 2. Amend the Petaluma Zoning Ordinance to institute a Planned Unit Development 18 Zone designation for the same parcel (formerly designated R-1, 6500) to allow 19 twenty-two units low-moderate cost housing for senior and/or physically 20 handicapped citizens. 21 22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the issuance of said Negative Declaration 23 pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act is hereby approved, based on the 24 following findings: 25 26 1. The project does not have the potential to degrade the quality of the environment, 27 substantially reduce the habitat of a fish or wildlife species, cause a fish or wildlife 28 population to drop below self-sustaining levels, threaten to eliminate a plant or 29 animal community, reduce the number or restrict the range of a rare or endangered 30 plant or animal or eliminate important examples of the major periods of California 31 history or prehistory. 32 33 2. The project does not have the potential to achieve short-term, to the disadvantage 34 of long-term, environmental goals. 35 36 3. The project does not have impacts which are individually limited, but cumulatively 37 considerable. 38 Res. No........90 - 2. g.o.....
