HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 90-346 10/15/1990FZesolution No. 90-346 N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION OF INTENTION ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 21 CORONA-ELY ASSESSMENT DISTRICT The City Council of the City of Petaluma resolves: On. January 16, 1990, this Council adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 90-25 to order improvement in Assessment District No. 21, Corona-Ely Assessment District, City of Petaluma, County of Sonoma, State of California. This Council hereby deletes the following description of improvement in said Resolution of Intention No. 90-25: The construction of Sonoma Mountain Parkway from the end of the existing full street improvements on Ely Road (approximately 700 feet north of Washington Street) to Corona Road, Ely Road from Sonoma Mountain Parkway to Corona Road and Corona Road from Sonoma Mountain Parkway to approximately the railroad crossing easterly of McDowell Boulevard including associated curb, gutters, utilities, street lighting, railroad crossing signalization, traffic signals at Rainier Avenue, Maria Drive and Corona Road, landscaped medians, right-of-way or easement acquisition, and all other appurtenances required as a condition of the approval of the Corona-Ely Assessment District Plan Line. The following description of improvement is inserted in replacement of the above: 1. The construction of Sonoma Mountain Parkway from the end of the existing full street improvements on Ely Road (approximately 700 feet north of East Washington Street to Corona Road along the interim alignment for a distance of approximately 11,000 feet). Improvements to consist of a street section with four 11-foot wide travel lanes, two 5-foot wide bike lanes, and a 16-foot wide landscaped median as shown on the adopted Sonoma Mountain Parkway Plan Line along the interim alignment through Lands of Brody. Joint utilities' trench (for electric, gas, telephone, T.V., street lighting and traffic signal interconnect) with all conduit and boxes ready .for wiring includes the undergrounding of the existing overhead telephone line along the east side of Ely Road. The construction of Ely Road -from Sonoma Mountain Parkway on a curve for approximately 9:00 feet to the existing Ely Road. Improvements to consist of a street section width of 48 feet to 40 feet curb to curb allowing for two travel lanes and two bike lanes. The work in the above-d'es'cribed improvements in Paragraphs 1 and 2 to include clearing, grading, Subbase, base, paving, monuments, curb and gutter, a system for domestic water supply including fire hydrants where none exist, storm drainage facilities, sanitary sewers and appurtenances where none exist, undergrounding existing, utility services to the. east side of Sonoma Mountain Parkway as required, street lighting including conduit, wiring. and appurtenances where none exist, landscaping irrigation of median islands, sign-ing and striping and related incidentals, traffic signals at Rainier Avenue and Maria Drive intersections with Sonoma Mountain Parkway and conduit for future signals at the Ely Road and Junior College intersections. Joint utilities' trench with all conduit and boxes ready for wiring. 3. Construct Corona Road improvements where Sonoma Mountain Parkway intersects Corona Road to two travel lanes to allow for interim signal and traffic movements as shown on the Plan Line. Work to include improvements necessary to widen Corona Road including clearing, grading, subbase, base, paving, a 12-inch water line from present 12-inch stub at railroad tracks to Sonoma Mountain Parkway, storm drainage facilities, a 12-inch sewer pipe and appurtenances from present stub in manhole located on the east side of the railroad tracks to Sonoma Mountain Parkway, traffic signal, signing and striping and appurtenances. 4. The construction of Maria Drive from Morning Glory to Sonoma Mountain Parkway for a distance of approximately 200 feet. Improvements to consist of realignment., removal, reconstruction and new construction including clearing, grading, subbase, base, monuments, paving, curb and gutter, sidewalk, water lines and appurtenances, storm drainage facilities, street lighting, landscaping and related incidentals. Joint utilities' trench with all conduit and boxes ready for wiring. 5. Construction.. of Lynch Creek, Capri Creek, and Corona Creek drainage structures and appurtenances crossing under Sonoma Mountain Parkway. 6. Construction of Corona Creek channel and appurtenances from Sonoma Mountain Parkway to McDowell Boulevard North for approximately 1,600 feet, including conduits under the Northwestern Pacific Railroad tracks, landscaping, irrigation, Page 2 of 3 90-346 N.O,S fencing, a gravel roadway or path and an interim creek crossing to rear part of Brody parcel. 7. The construction of a sanitary sewer line and appurtenances from Sonoma Mountain Parkway to Ely Road along the future Corona Creek area. 8. Construction of a 12-inch water main and appurtenances from Zone 4 Pump Station at Corona and Ely Roads along Ely Road to Sonoma Mountain Parkway. 9. The acquisition of all lands, easements, rights-of-way, franchises, licenses, permits, fees and the performing of all work necessary or convenient to complete the above. In all other respects Resolution of Intention No. 90-25 remains unchanged. Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
