EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The Commission is requiredby:state law to present an annual financial,report and a housing activity report to the legislative body withimsix months of the close of the Commission's fiscal year end. The Commission's year ended on June 30, 2000. 2.. BACKGROUND: California Community Redevelopment Law requires an Annual'Report to the legislative body to be composed of the following seven components: 1. The independent auditor's report on the financial statements can be found in the General Purpose Financial Statements on page one. 2. The independent auditor's report on legal compliance can be found in the General Purpose Financial'Statements;on page 47. • 3. The Annual Report of Financial.Transactions of Community Redevelopment Agencies is presented in its entirety. This report is also known as the State Controller's Report since the report is completed on state forms and it was submitted to the state prior to December 31,2000. The report is numbered SC 1-41. The Statement of Indebtedness is included in the report to the state and this statement can be found on pages 19-22 and SC 33-36. The Statement of Indebtednessis a required annual report to Sonoma County and it was sent prior to the October 1, 2000 due date. 4. The Housing Activities report'is:presented in its entirety. This regort;is also part of the State'Controller's Report and it was submitted to the.state prior to December 31, 2000. The report is numbered HSG 1-21 5. The Blight.Progress report can be found in the Housing Activities report on pages HSG 5-6, and HSG 11-13. 6. The Loan Report'can,be found in Note D in the.General.Purpose Financial Statements on pages 18 and 19. There are no loans'.receivable in default 7. The Property Report can be found in the Housing Activities report on page HSG 20. A parcel of land was purchased at 945 Petaluma Boulevard North and is being held as a future 110 sitelor low and moderate-income housing units. The state requires two;copies of the General Purpose Financial Statements these were sent with the other reports prior to December 31, 2000. 3. ALTERNATIVES: A. Adopt thelesolution accepting the Annual Report. B. Take any adtiomthat.the legislative body'deems'appropriate. 4. FINANCIALIMPACTS: None 5. CONCLUSION: • N/A 6. RECOMMENDATION: Adopt thelesolution to accept the'Commision's AnnuatReport for the year ended Lime 30, 2000. RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE 1999-2000 PETALUMA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION ANNUAL REPORT WHEREAS, California'_Redevelopment Law requires that an annual report be presented to the legislative body within six months of the.end.of the fiscal year; and WHEREAS, that report must contain financial and housing information for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2000;and WHEREAS, this Annual Report is a.cornpilation of those individual financial statements and • reports on the PCDC housing programs; and WHEREAS, Section 33080.2 of Redevelopment Law states that "the legislative body shall review the report and take any action which>itdeemed appropriate" . NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Petaluma.Community Development Commission accepts the 1999-2000 Annual Report. • •
