AMENDING THE FY 2008 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
ACTION PLAN TO ALLOCATE AN ADDITIONAL $93,164 THROUGH THE
DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD) RECOVERY
AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (CDBG-R)
WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma functions as an entitlement jurisdiction under the U.S.
Dept. of Housing and Urban Development's Community Development Block Grant Program; and,
WHEREAS, the City operates within the regulations of a 5-year Consolidated Plan and an
Annual Action Plan; and,
WHEREAS, those documents require that "any change which constitutes a modification
of 10% of the annual allocation shall require formal review and approval by the City Council;"
and,
WHEREAS, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Program. Act of 2009 has made
available supplemental stimulus funding in the amount of $93,164 to be utilized for certain
programs and projects which benefit low and moderate income households and address the criteria
set forth in the funding regulations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby allocates the
CDBG-R funding for the following projects:
Corona Ranch Apartments:
Installation of low-flow toilets in 76 apartments $48,.100
Repair irrigation system $ 2,800
Washington Creek Apartments:
Installation of low-flow toilets in 32 apartments $20,800
Installation of energy star dishwashers $19,200
Repair irrigation system $ 1,900
Minimal Administration Fee $ 364
Total $93, 164
