28 Geoff Cartwright, 56 Rocca Drive, voiced his concern that redevelopment funds,maybe
29 used for new'development and not.to corrlplete the Payran Flboct Management:Project.

31 Dorothy B. Morris, 533 Albert Way, expressed her hope that the Council would work
32 together in`the'New Year and noted her appreciation to retiring Council Members Jane
33 Hamilton,and David Kellen

35 Melissa Hathaway„ 311 Howard Street, expressed her appreciation'for the outstanding
36 work of retiring Council Members Jane Hamilton and David Keller and presented Council
37 Me mber Hamilton'with a bouquet of flowers. •

41 Eugene Ruggles, 106 Washington Street #326, expressed his appreciation to retiring
42 Council Members Jane Hamilton and David Keller and presented them with books from
43 which he had quoted passages in recognition of their contributions.

3 Project before any further development in the floodplain.

5 Bruce.Hagen, 145 Greviliia, expressed;his appreciation to retiring Council Members David
6 Keller and Jane Hamilton and noted that Council:Member Hamilton was celebrating her
7 fiftieth birthday and presented her with a song, "The River Princess."

11 Mayor Thompson reported that no reportable action was taken on items heard during
12 Closed Session.

14 COUNCIL COMMENTS

16 Council Member Jane Hamilton spoke regarding her many experiences, both positive and
1-7 negative, during the past eight years she served'the community as a Council Member and
Ls thanked the many people who made this possible for her She thanked the Council and
1!9 expressed her appreciation'in working through so many projects.

21 Vice Mayor Torliatt expressed her appreciation to the retiring Council Members and noted
12 their contributions; for example, the River Enhancement Plan, the Central 'Petaluma
3 Specific Plan, the steps taken with the Surface Water Management Plan. She thanked
24 them for their friendship, vision, passion, and conviction.

26 Council Member Keller expressed his appreciation for the comments and recognition
27 expressed by members of the public and Council.

29 Council Member Maguire commented about the amount,of time Council spent working
30 together. Since the beginning' of the year, the Council had participated in sixty-one
31 meetings.

33 Vice Mayor Torliatt reported that the PCA (Petaluma Community Access) sound problem
34 was an issue between P.C.A and A.T.&T. Regarding the opening on the Animal Services
35 Advisory Committee, she was in favor of moving forward with noticing and that Council
3'6 make the appointment as soon as possible. She noted that she had received complaints
37 regarding speeders on Gilbert Street and noted publicly that the information had been
38 forwarded to Public Facilities and Services Director, Rick Skladzien, for research and a
39 response.

41 Council Member''Cader-Thompson'reminded the public that Council. Members attended
42 more than 61' meetings and they had responsibilities and commitments to attend other
43 meetings-as well. She-noted that she hadattended the Odes Christmas Party. She invited

1 Mr. Lapointe to accompany her fora tour of the area where the Rainier Over Crossing was
