SUBJECT: Discussion of Structure o_fF utureAB 1600"Repo its Regarding Mitigation and
Impact Fees
The initial report regarding the above was presented:to the Council at itstlovember 6, 2000
meeting. That report identified the•following items thab•were:required by Section 66006(b) of
the Government Code:
1. Amount of the fee •
• 2. Beginning and ending balance�of the account or fund
3. Amount of the fees collected:and,the:interest earned
4. An identification<.of each-public,iinprovernent=ontwhich fees were expended and the
amount,of the expenditures on eaahtiniprovement,+including the total percentage of the
cost of the improvementthat,was:f aided witkthe fees:
5. An identification of an approximate date by'which thekconstruction of the public
improvement will commence if the;local'.agency-determines that sufficient funds have
been collected to complete the financing of an incomplete>public improvement
6. A description of each Interfund transferor loan made from the account or fund including
the public improvement on,which the:transferred or loaned fees will be expended and, in
the case:of an inter-fundlloan, the date on which the loan will be repaid and the rate of
interest the loan will accrue
7. The-amount of refunds of the fee that were made •
The report provided that information.
The report that was provided included fiscal years ending in 1999hand"2000. It was the first
report of this type that was provided.to Council. It was suggested'at the time theireport was
. issued that the City provide data for fiscal years,ending.prior to'1999. Although this may be
possible to do, it would take considerable time to complete.
