RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DIRECTOR,
ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PETALUMA, TO EXECUTE AND FILE AN
APPLICATION WITH THE OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES FOR THE
PURPOSE OF OBTAINING CERTAIN FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE UNDER P.L. 93-288
AS AMENDED BY THE ROBERT T. STAFFORD DISASTER RELIEF AND
EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE ACT OF 1988 AND/OR STATE FINANCIAL
ASSISTANCE UNDER THE NATURAL DISASTER ASSISTANCE ACT
WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma experienced a flood event on Saturday, December 31,
2005; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma adopted Resolution 2002-142 N.C.S. empowering the
Finance Director on behalf of the City of Petaluma, to execute and file an application with the
Office of Emergency Services for the purpose of obtaining certain financial assistance; and,
WHEREAS, the job classification of Finance Director has been eliminated and replaced
with Administrative Services Director; and,
WHEREAS, this resolution will repeal Resolution 2002-142 N.C.S.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that
1. The City Manager, Administrative Services Director/Treasurer, or the Accounting
Manager is hereby authorized to execute this application for and on behalf of the City of
Petaluma, California, a municipal corporation established under the laws of the State of
California, and to file it in the Office of Emergency Services for the purpose of obtaining
certain federal financial assistance under P.L. 93-288, as amended by the Robert T.
Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act of 1988, and/or state financial
assistance under the Natural Disaster Assistance Act.
2. The City of Petaluma, California, a municipal corporation established under the laws of
the State of California, hereby authorizes its agents to provide the assurances and

agreements required for all matters pertaining to such state disaster assistance to the State
Office of Emergency Services.
Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
