HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2012-028 N.C.S. 03/05/2012 Resolution No. 2012-028 N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California ESTABLISHING TRUCK ROUTES WITHIN THE CITY OF PETALUMA WHEREAS, pursuant to Petaluma Municipal Code, Section 11.52.070, the City Council shall establish by resolution those streets and parts of streets which are truck routes for the movement of vehicles exceeding a maximum gross weight of five tons. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the following City of Petaluma streets, or portions thereof, also shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit "A," are hereby declared to be "truck routes" as defined in Chapter 11.52 of the Petaluma Municipal Code. Bodega Avenue from westerly city limits to Union Street Cader Lane Casa Grande Road from easterly city limits to Lakeville Highway Caulfield Lane from McDowell Boulevard South to Lakeville Street Corona Road from Sonoma Mountain Parkway to Petaluma Boulevard North Cypress Drive `D' Street from westerly city limits to Lakeville Street Ely Boulevard South from Frates Road to East Washington Street Frates Road from easterly city limits to Lakeville Highway 116 East Washington Street from easterly city limits to Petaluma Boulevard North Kenilworth Drive from Johnson Drive to Lindberg lane Lakeville Highway 116 from southerly city limits to Caulfield Lane Lakeville.Street from Caulfield Lane to Petaluma Boulevard North Lindberg Lane, from the southernmost end of the proposed Kenilworth Drive to Payran Street McDowell Boulevard North from Old Redwood Highway to E. Washington Street McDowell Boulevard South from East Washington Street to Caulfield Lane McDowell Boulevard South from Casa Grande Road to Lakeville Highway North McDowell Extension South McDowell Extension Old Redwood Highway from easterly city limits to U.S. 101 Payran Street from Lindberg Lane to Caulfield Lane Petaluma Boulevard North from U.S. 101 to Lakeville Street Petaluma Boulevard South from `D' Street to southerly city limits Pine View Way Sonoma Mountain Parkway from East Washington Street to Corona Road Stony Point Road from northerly city limits to Rainsville Road Stony Point Road from 1000 feet northerly of Petaluma Boulevard North to Petaluma Boulevard North Washington Street from Petaluma Boulevard North to Union Street BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all previous resolutions establishing truck routes are hereby repealed. Resolution No.2012-028 N.C.S. Page 1 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall take effect upon the effective date of Ordinance No. 2430 N.C.S. an Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Petaluma Repealing Chapter 11.52 of the City of Petaluma Municipal Code Entitled `Restricted Use of Certain Streets" and Adopting a New Chapter 11.52 Entitled "Commercial Vehicles and Truck Routes." Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
