ACCEPTING COMPLETION OF THE PETALUMA MARINA DREDGE PROJECT
AND AUTHORIZING $42,962.20 FROM FLOOD MITIGATION IMPACT FEES TO BE
APPROPRIATED TO THE. PROJECT BUDGET
WHEREAS, the City Council awarded the contract to dredge the Petaluma Marina to
Eagle North America at their meeting of July 24, 2004; and,
WHEREAS, in the course of dredging the Petaluma Marina, additional levels of silt
material were required to be removed in order to reach engineered depths for the Marina,
requiring a change order to perform such work; and,
WHEREAS, the additional work necessitating a change order to remove additional
amounts of fill from the Petaluma Marina require additional funds to augment the project budget,
and,
WHEREAS, the firm of Eagle North America did satisfactorily complete the project to
dredge the Petaluma Marina per plans and specifications at a total cost of $347,962.20.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Petaluma that the
City does hereby accept the project to dredge the Petaluma Marina, authorizes the appropriation
of $42,962.20 in Flood Mitigation Impact Fees to the project budget, and authorizes the City
Clerk to file a notice of completion with the Sonoma County Recorder.
