WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma seeks to purchase a new bike lane sweeper for the streets operations
division; and
WHEREAS, the City is a member of the Sourcewell Cooperative Purchasing Program (formerly National
Joint Powers Alliance), which supports cooperative purchasing, allowing the City the opportunity to access
competitively awarded and nationally leveraged cooperative purchasing contracts; and
WHEREAS, the Sourcewell cooperative price meeting specifications for the asphalt roller was submitted by
Municipal Maintenance Equipment, an approved vendor for Multihog (Sourcewell Contract #111522-MUL) for
$180,682.00; and
WHEREAS, the bike lane sweeper provided by Municipal Maintenance Equipment, Inc. is consistent with
other (City-owned) equipment using the hardware, training, and methods of operation. Additionally, the

environment, and if this action was a project it would exempt pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15301
(Existing Facilities) as the equipment would be used to maintain bike lanes which are existing facilities..

(Existing Facilities) as the equipment would be used to maintain bike lanes which are existing facilities.
