APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF FOUR NEW 2012 DODGE CHARGER
POLICE PATROL VEHICLES IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,19,257.24 FROM
MCPEEK'S DODGE OF ANAHEIM, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF
TWO NEW 2012 HARLEY-DAVIDSON FLHTP POLICE ELECTRA GLIDE
MOTORCYCLES IN THE. AMOUNT OF S46,492.30 FROM HARLEY-DAVIDSON
OF UKIAH, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF ONE USED 2011 GMC YUKON IN
THE AMOUNT OF $34,029.60 FROM MCCONNELL CHEVROLET OF
HEALDSBURG, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INCLUDE
THESE PURCHASES IN THE 3R11 QUARTER BUDGET ADJUSTMENTS
WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma Police Department requests to purchase four (4) new
2012 Dodge Charger police patrol vehicles in the amount of $119,257.24 from McPeek's Dodge
of Anaheim; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma Police Department requests to purchase two (2) new
2012 Harley-Davidson FLHTP Police Electra Glide motorcycles in the amount of$46,492.30
from Harley-Davidson of Ukiah; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma Police Department requests to purchase one (1) used
2011 GMC Yukon in the amount of $34,029.60 from McConnell Chevrolet of I-lealdsburg; and,
WHEREAS, Invitations to Bid were published by the Petaluma City Clerk in accordance
with Chapter 4.04 of the Petaluma Municipal Code requiring the City to conduct its own
competitive bid process for certain purchases; and,
WHEREAS, the vendors selected under this Resolution reflect the lowest bids received
in each of the vehicle categories.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL HEREBY
(1) Approves the purchase of four (4) 2012 Dodge Charger police vehicles in the amount of
$119,257.24 from MCPeek'S Dodge of Anaheim, subject to the conditions and
specifications contained in the proposal of McPeck's Dodge of Anaheim in response to
the police departments request, and authorizes the City Manager, or his designee, to
execute any necessary documents to complete the purchase; and
(2) Approves the purchase of two (2) 2012 Harley-Davidson FLHTP Police Electra Glide
Motorcycles in the amount of $46,492.30 from Harley-Davidson of Ukiah, subject to the
conditions and specifications contained in the proposal of Harley-Davidson or Ukiah in
response to the police departments request, and authorizes the City Manager, or his
designee, to execute any necessary documents to complete the purchase; and
(3) Approves the purchase of one (1) 2011 GMC Yukon in the amount of $34,029.60 from
McConnell Chevrolet of Healdsburg, subject to the conditions and specifications
contained in the proposal of McConnell Chevrolet of Healdsburg in response to the

police department's request, and authorizes the City Manager, or his designee, to execute
any necessary documents to complete the purchase; and
(4) Authorizes the inclusion of the necessary budget adjustment in the 3rd Quarter Budget
Amendment Ordinance to FY 11-12 which is as follows:
