ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PETALUMA AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF REAL PROPERTY
PURSUANT TO DIVISION 1, PART 6, CHAPTER 8 OF THE CALIFORNIA REVENUE AND
TAXATION CODE IN CONNECTION WITH PARCEL NUMBER: APN 006-163-054 LOCATED ON
NORTH WATER STREET IN PETALUMA, CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma adopted the Central Petaluma Specific Plan (CPSP)
which provides for the redevelopment of North Water Street, also known as Poultry Street; and,
WHEREAS, the CPSP requires that a plan line be established for a public street on North
Water Street; and,
WHEREAS, a parcel, APN 006-163-054, is located in the proposed new street right-of-way
and is no longer privately owned; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma has need for this real property to be utilized for public
right-of-way; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma intends to utilize the property described in Exhibit A for
such purposes and desires to purchase such property for such intended use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Petaluma as
follows:
1. The City of Petaluma authorizes and directs its City Manager to purchase the
property referred to as APN 006-163-054 offered for sale pursuant to the provisions

of Division 1, Part 6, Chapter 8 of the California Revenue and Taxation Code and
related provisions of law.
2. That its City Manager is hereby authorized to execute any document necessary
and take any other reasonably necessary action to consummate the transaction
contemplated herein.
3. The City Council of the City of Petaluma hereby requests that the Sonoma
County Board of Supervisors waive the payment of delinquent property taxes in
the amount of $1,556.80 due to the public nature of the use of the property by
city and county residents.
4. The City Council of the City of Petaluma hereby provides that if the Sonoma
County Board of Supervisors does not waive the $1,556.80 for payment of
delinquent property taxes, the City will pay the $1,556.80 for delinquent property
taxes.
