Seconded by Council Member Torliatt AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SPEED LIMITS ON CERTAIN STREETS IN THE CITY OF PETALUMA BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PETALUMA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That pursuant to California Vehicle Code 22357, 22358, and 22358.3, the radar enforceable speed zones on the following Petaluma City streets are hereby amended and established: MILES/(KM) STREET' FROM TO PER HOUR Old Redwood Hwy Center Willow Creek Bridge North Corporate Limits 40/(60) Old Redwood Hwy Hwy101 North/Old Redwood Center Willow Creek 30/(50) Hwy exit ramp Bridge North McDowell Blvd. Old Redwood Hwy Redwood Way 35(55) Bodega Ave. Westerly Corporation Limits North Webster Street 35/(55) 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 Section 2. Previously established radar enforceable speed zones, for which the traffic and engineering survey are still valid are hereby expressly approved as speed limits for the streets to which they apply. Section 3 . If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase or word of this ordinance is for any reason held to be unconstitutional, unlawful or otherwise invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City Council of the City of Petaluma .hereby declares that it would have passed and adopted this ordinance and each and all Ordinance No. 2164 N.C.S. Section 4 . This ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption by the Petaluma City Council. Section 5 . The City Clerk is hereby directed to post this ordinance for the period and in the manner required by the City Charter. INTRODUCED and ordered posted/wed this 27'h day of October, 2003.
