WHEREAS, ,the Planning Commission has ben processing
referrals- from Sonoma County which referrals are 'for use 'per.-
nits for mobile homes on single lots., which the Planning Com-
mission has uniformly Opposed; and
WHEREAS,' the Planning Commission has requested this
Council to support policy opposing mobile homes an single lots ,
with the sole exception that they be 'permitted as dwelling
units for agricultural workers on the property. concerned; and
WHEREAS , the Council supports: the position of the
Planning Commissicn;-
NOW, THEREFORE.,'. BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council
of the City of Petaluma declares that it is its policy to op-
pose mobile homes on. property not a mobile park When the mobile'
home is proposed to be located within the area of Petaluma 's
General Plan; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Sonoma County Plan-
ning Commission is hereby requested to deny use of mobile
homes as per. the conditions of this resolution, and the City
Clerk is directed to forward certified copies. of this reso-
lution to the Sonoma County. Planning Commission and the
Sonoma County Board. of Supervisors .
