29 Access and expressed her concerne.

31 Patricia Tuttle Brown thanked . the Mayor for allowing her to speak during public
32 comment 'regarding the RidgeyieW Subdivision and expressed her desire that a bike
33 path be inclOcied.

35 Geoff Cartwright, 56 :Rocca Drive, spoke regarding the•flooding problem in 'Petaluma

. 1 City Manager Gene Beatty-that he referred to about the last PCA meeting noted that the
2 group was in need of community support:in order to continue operating.

4 Council Member Cader-Thompson spoke regarding the Petaluma River Clean-Up.
5 Regarding PCA, $2,00 a month was a small ,amount to pay in order for the community
6 to support its operation. She added thatthe school and'the public benefited as they had
7 the opportunity-to learn how the equipment worked. She announced that Council was
8 leaving to go to Washington, D.C. to continue petitioning legislative representatives and
9 the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the shortfall of funds from the Petaluma Flood
. 10 Project.

12 Vice Mayor Torliatt noted•that all Council Members attended the Chamber of Commerce
13 installation and named a `few Council Members who attended the Mayors' and
14 Councilmembers' meeting. She announced that May 16,•was National Bike to Work Day
15 and encouraged everyone to ride their bikes to work. She also mentioned'there was a
16 natural gas bus available for the Council to view and noted that the City would purchase
17 natural gas busses'-,'in the nearfuture.

19 Council Member Keller requested a follow-up on last. Tuesday's meeting with the
20 Railroad.

22 Program Coordinator James= Ryan had a conversation with David Solomon last
a23 Wednesday, who indicated that he was mailing the Cloverdale document; the Planning
4 Department of the Rail Agency was to fax their recommendations. He noted this item
25 would come back'to Council on June 5.

27 Vice Mayor Torliatt'wanted;to,,make sure.that it moved forward and suggested having a
28 special meeting next Monday'for the Council to discuss`transit"options.

30 Mayor Thompson asked what needed to be decided.

32 Mr. Ryan replied that Council needed'to decide if they agreed with the two phases as
' 33 recommended and then they could proceed with working on developments if agreeable
34 with the other parties involved.

36 Public Facilities and Services Director Rick Skladzien noted that City Management
37 didn't have anything new to present and that the department would have something for
38 the Council to review by next week.

40 Assistant City Manager Gene Beatty asked if there was a meeting scheduled for
41 Monday.

43 Mayor Thompson asked Mr. Ryan to provide him with information that would help the
44 Council decide if ameeting should,be scheduled..
