BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PETALUMA AS
22 FOLLOWS:

24 Section l. Petaluma Municipal Code Section 11.52.070 is hereby amended to read as
25 follows:

27 11.52.070 Prohibition of trucks on certain streets.
28 A. Those vehicles exceeding a maximum gross weight of three
29 tons are hereby prohibited from using the following streets
30 at any time:
31 l. Payran Street between E. Washington Street and
32 Petaluma Blvd. No.;
33 2. East "D" Street between Payran Street and Lakeville
34 Street;
35 3. Tenth Street between "B" and "D" Streets;
36 4. Fair Street between Western Avenue and "B" Street;
37 5. Howard Street and Sixth Street between Western
3 8 Avenue and "D" Street.
39 B. Any vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight of three
40 tons is hereby prohibited from using the following streets
41 during the times of day as indicated:

1 1. Payran Street from Jefferson Street to Washington
2. Street between the hours of seven p.m. and seven
3 a. m.
4 C. The city engineer shall erect and maintain appropriate signs
5 on those streets affected by these prohibitions.

7 Section 2. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase or word of this ordinance
8 is for any reason held to be unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision
9 shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City Council of the
10 City of Petaluma hereby declares that it would have passed and adopted this ordinance and each
11 and all provisions thereof irrespective of the fact that any one or more of said provisions be
12 declared unconstitutional.

14 Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to post this ordinance for the period and in
15 the manner required by the City Charter.
