Page 1 Resolution No. 2025-140 N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California RESOLUTION APPOINTING A VOTING DELEGATE AND ALTERNATE FOR THE LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES 2024 ANNUAL CONFERENCE WHEREAS, the League of California Cities Annual Conference is scheduled for October 8 – 10, 2025; and WHEREAS, cities attending the conference vote at the annual business meeting on a slate of resolutions that establish League policy; and WHEREAS, in order for the City to vote at the annual business meeting, the City Council must designate a voting delegate and alternate(s), if applicable; and WHEREAS, the Voting Delegate/Alternate Form and Council Resolution designating the voting delegate and alternate(s) must be submitted to the League by September 24, 2025; and WHEREAS, traditionally, at least one member of the City Council attends the Annual Conference. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Petaluma as follows: 1. Appoints Councilmember Janice Cader Tompson as the Voting Delegate to the League of California Cities 2025 Annual Conference. 2. Appoints Peggy Flynn, City Manager, and Eric Danly, City Attorney, as Alternates to the League of California Cities 2025 Annual Conference. 3. Directs the City Clerk to submit the 2025 Annual Conference Voting Delegate/Alternate Form to the League of California Cities no later than September 24, 2025. Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City. REFERENCE: I hereby certify the foregoing Resolution was introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Petaluma at a Regular meeting on the 15th day of September 2025, by the following vote: AYES: McDonnell, Barnacle, DeCarli, Nau, Quint, Shribbs NOES: None ABSENT: Cader Thompson ABSTAIN: None Approved as to City Attorney ATTEST: City Clerk Mayor form:
