Introduced by Vice Mayor Jack Cavanagh Seconded by Nancy Read AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF EXCESS RIGHT-OF-WAY PROPERTY OFF INDUSTRIAL AVENUE WITHLN THE PROPOSED AUTO CENTER IN THE CITY OF PETALUIVIA, CALIFORNIA, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE Section 1. On July 2, 1990, the Council of the City of Petaluma passed Resolution No. 90-225 ordered vacated, abandoned and forever closed to public use that certain real property more particularly described in Exhibit. A attached hereto. Section 2. Said resolution authorizes the City Manager to negotiate an agreement to dispose of the underlying real property; Section 3. The real property owned by the City of Petaluma and more particularly described in Exhibit_ A attached hereto, is considered excess land and is hereby authorized to be sold to Henry Hansel, Marilyn Hansel, Stephen Hansel, and Carol Hansel for a total purchase price of $55,000.00. Section 4. It is deemed to be in the best public interest and for the common benefit of the City of Petaluma for the City to sell this property in the manner stated above as provided by Government Code section 37350. Section 5. The City Clerk is hereby directed to post/publish this ordinance for the period and in the manner required by the City Charter.
