of the City of Petaluma, California
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PETALUMA
APPROVING CITY COUNCIL LIAISON APPOINTMENTS FOR 2026
WHEREAS, the process for Council appointments is outlined in the City Council Rules, Policies, and
Procedures; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with section VII(G), the Mayor notified the Councilmembers and/or
Councilmembers-elect on December 4, 2025, of all upcoming openings for Council representation on City,
County, regional and other outside commissions; and
WHEREAS, Councilmembers and/or Councilmembers-elect notified the Mayor of those positions they
would be interested in serving on for the upcoming calendar year; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor provided their recommendations as to the appointments; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor has provided recommendations regarding Council liaison appointments for 2026 in
accordance with the City Council Rules, Policies and Procedures, and also established practice, and the Mayor’s
recommendations are included as Attachment 2 accompanying the Staff Report for this resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor’s recommendations for City Council 2026 liaison appointments include the
recommendation that the City Council Fairgrounds ad hoc subcommittee be dissolved, the subcommittee’s
purpose having been fulfilled; and
WHEREAS, the Council considered the Mayor’s recommendations at their regular meeting of January 5,
2026.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Petaluma hereby:
1. The City Council Fairgrounds ad hoc subcommittee is hereby dissolved, its purpose having been fulfilled,
and any and all prior City Council actions establishing, renewing or extending the City Council Fairgrounds
ad hoc subcommittee are hereby rescinded and repealed upon this resolution taking effect.
2. Appoints the liaisons as listed in the attached Exhibit A to this resolution for calendar year 2026.
3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Council members
present and voting.

REFERENCE: I hereby certify the foregoing Resolution was introduced and adopted by the
Council of the City of Petaluma at a Regular meeting on the 5th day of January
