REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
MAYOR
The Sonoma. County Human Services Department is issuing a Request for
Proposals (RFP.) to provide shuttle services to transport the County's
SonomaW.ORKS..program participants and their children. Eligible applicants may
include private, non-profit organizations, _for -profit. organizations and public
agencies. Funding is provided from -the Metropolitan Transportation Commission
(MTC) Low Income Flexible Transportation (LIFT) program and the CalWORKS
grant through federal Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF).
All interested agencies are encouraged to request a copy of the RFP starting on
June 11, 2001. To request an RFP, contact Lis Barca at (707) 565-5585 or send
an e-mail to lbarcaOsonoma-countv,oro or .you may pick up the materials at the
Human Services Department Job Link office located at 2245 Challenger Way,
Santa Rosa, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through
Friday, excluding, holidays.
Proposals for the SonomaWORKS Shuttle services are due at the Human Services
Department, Job Link office by Thursday. July 12 -
2001 by 5:00 n.m, Proposals
received after this date and time will not be accepted. No faxed or electronically
transmitted proposals will be accepted.
A Bidder's Conference will be held on June 18, 2001 from 9:00 a.m. — 12:00 p.m.
at 2225 Challenger Way, Rooms -A and,B, (the SonomaWORKS office) in Santa
Rosa. Location is off Sebastopol Road and Corporate Center Parkway. The
Bidder's conference will offer an 'overview of the SonomaWORKS program
requirements, information on fiscal issues and budget preparation, a review of the
requirements of the RFP and a proposal writing workshop. While attendance at
the proposal writing workshop is not a requirement, a consultant will present
helpful information in the preparation of your proposal.
